Bread for the Journey

But one thing I do:
forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,
I press on toward the goal to win the prize for
which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3 :13-14 NIV

Are you living life through the rear-view mirror...
instead of through the windshield?

At times we forget that the failures of the past are forgiven.

We need to look ahead with hope...
not regret over the past.

Let's fix our eyes on the finish line...
and remember that God is at work in our life today.
Today is a new day!

Most of this year still lies ahead of us.
Let's go into it with hope and expectation...
choosing to make God the center of our life...
one day at a time.

God, thank-you for forgiving and forgetting past failures.  Help me to keep my eyes fixed on You....and the path ahead.  And when the journey is over...may I be found faithful.  Amen
