Vanilla Glazed Doughnuts

Oh how I love doughnuts! Whether covered in chocolate, sprinkled with shredded coconut, stuffed with cream filling, or baked with sweet nutmeg, the doughnut is a dish I simple can't resist! Some of my fondest memories in life involve waking up super early and swinging by the local doughnut shop on our way to school each morning. Oh the selection! Oh the variety!

But with all the different shapes, fillings, and flavors, my favorite doughnut has always been the traditional glazed. There's nothing like it! Warm, sweet, with just the perfect combination of cake flavor and rich glaze, this is the absolute in doughnuts.

It's this great love for tradition that led me to today's post. Yes, we've baked a lot of doughnuts in the past, thanks in part to our Norpro Nonstick Donut Pan, but this may be our best doughnut to date! Why, you ask? Because the simplicity of flavors are exactly what we love in traditional doughnuts! Trust us, this is going to be your new go-to morning treat! Get ready, it's time to bake up some Vanilla Glazed Doughnuts!

While doughnuts are cooling, make glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, salt, milk, and vanilla. Pour glaze over the top of each doughnut, or just dip tops of doughnuts into glaze, then allow to set up before serving.

Light, fluffy, warm, and oh so delicious, these doughnuts are the perfect morning treat you were hoping for. The vanilla glaze atop these round treats gives the perfect amount of sweetness without overpowering the rich cake taste. Serve these up for breakfast or a delicious snack.
