That's right folks, with a little help from our Freeze Dried Apples, Buttermilk Powder, and amazing Alta Artisan Flour, we've created a warm, tasty, and absolutely mouth watering waffle that is only for dessert time! Your world will never be the same! Get ready, it's time to bake up some Apple Fritter Waffles!
Ingredients:
2 cups Honeyville Alta Artisan Flour
3/4 cup Sugar
2 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Salt
2 tsp Cinnamon
2 1/2 Tbsp Buttermilk Powder + 1 cup Water
1/4 cup Butter, melted
2 Eggs
1 tsp Vanilla
1 1/2 cups Freeze Dried Apples
Glaze:
1 1/2 cups Powdered Sugar
1/4 cup Milk
2 tsp Vanilla
Directions:
First, prepare your favorite waffle iron.
Next, in a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt, and whisk together.
In a separate bowl, beat together re-constituted buttermilk powder, butter, eggs, and vanilla with an electric hand mixer until combined.
Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and beat until a thick batter forms.
Gently fold in re-hydrated apples until fully incorporated.
Pour into waffle iron and cook until completed. Remove and slice waffle into four pieces.
Make glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla.
Pour glaze over each waffle piece. Let glaze set up completely, then enjoy.
