Apple Spice Granola Bars




Ah, good old granola bars. Is there any better school treat than these? I can still remember the joy of opening my lunch box in elementary school, or rushing home after classes to find waiting for me a sweet, delicious granola bar. Packed full of all your favorite grains, with the perfect amount of sweetness, these are the treats we love to give our kids.

What if I told you that with a few Honeyville ingredients, you could create your own mouth-watering granola bars right at home? What if I also told that with a few added ingredients, you could transform those granola bars into a Fall-infused snack? How cool would it be for your little ones to be greeted each day when they returned from school with a fresh granola bar, made just by you?

Well, now you can, and it's easier than you think! Thanks with some help form our Six Grain Rolled Cereal Mix, Organic Peanut Butter Powder, and Freeze Dried Apples, now you can create a delicious, Autumn inspired bar that is sure to knock their socks off and fill their tummys with delight! Prepare yourself, it's time to make some Apple Spice Granola Bars!

Ingredients:
1 cup Pecans, chopped
1 1/2 cups Honeyville 6 Grain Rolled Cereal Mix
1 cup Dates, pitted
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/4 cup Raw Honey
1/4 cup Honeyville Organic Peanut Butter Powder + 3 Tbsp Water
1 tsp Vanilla
1 cup Honeyville Freeze Dried Apples

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Spread your pecans and rolled cereal over your USA Pan Cookie Sheet and bake for 10 minutes, just until they are toasted. Remove and transfer to a large bowl.

In your Food Processor, add dates and process until they are thick, sticky, and form a ball.

In your bowl of oats and pecans, add cinnamon and lightly toss together.

In a separate bowl, add honey, peanut butter powder, water, and vanilla. Heat up in the microwave and stir until texture is smooth.

In your bowl of rolled cereal, add processed dates and apples, and toss together. Gently pour honey/peanut butter mixture over the top and stir until you get a thick mixture.

In your USA Pan Square Cake Pan, lined with parchment paper, pour mixture, then gently press and form into pan. Place in refrigerator and allow to set up for at least 2 hours. Remove, slice up, and serve.
